Amar is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of experience in aviation, maritime, multimodal logistics, consulting and technology industries.
He is appointed as the Domain Co-ordinator of the Cross-Border Management (CBM) Domain at United Nations CEFACT. He is on the panel of trade facilitation experts at UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission of Europe). He had been elected twice to represent the technology domain in the air cargo industry on the Board of Directors of “The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA)” headquartered in Miami, Florida. This association presents the voice of the global air cargo industry to the regulators. He was the youngest Board Member and the first from technology industry to be appointed on this prominent global industry association’s board. Amar has received Fellow ship from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and has been a recipient of the “International Young Achiever” award from CILT; the first Indian to receive this. He was the chairman of the Asia-pacific chapter of the International Port Community System Association (IPSCA), headquartered in the United Kingdom and the global lead for Air Cargo for the association. He has authored several papers and articles on the digitization of the logistics industry in global media and has spoken on television shows on the subjects of technology and logistics.

Amar’s passion is to facilitate trade globally using technology and bridge the technology gap between the digitally developed and digitally developing logistics industries globally. His talented and passionate team at Kale Logistics has developed disruptive new generation technology solutions for the logistics industry, which are transforming the industry globally (its solutions being implemented across 50 countries and 150+ airports and ports). Their work has received global accolades from several international forums as being the “Best Technology Provider to the Logistics Industry” for last 15 years including awards at the United Nations forums. Amar also assists several governments, airports and ports on conceptualizing trade facilitation initiatives to usher in “Ease of Doing Business” using digital technology.

Amar has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, India and a Masters in Industrial Management (with focus on Logistics and Supply Chain Management) from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Mumbai, India (erstwhile NITIE).
