Mr. Amer Alzarooni is a senior air-cargo professional with Emirates SkyCargo, currently serving as Cargo Manager – India & Nepal. He is also listed as a Board Member of the Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI).
Mr. Alzarooni has built international experience within Emirates SkyCargo, including assignments in Indonesia and the Philippines before taking responsibility for the India & Nepal market. His move to India was announced in 2024, when Emirates SkyCargo’s Abdulla AlKhallafi stated that Alzarooni would take over the Cargo Manager – India & Nepal role.
His professional background includes experience in cargo sales, commercial management, market development, customer relationships and air-freight operations. His LinkedIn profile identifies previous Emirates assignments in India, the Philippines, Indonesia and Dubai, reflecting his international exposure within the Emirates Group.
In his India & Nepal role, Mr. Alzarooni is involved in strengthening Emirates SkyCargo’s cargo business, customer partnerships and market development across the region. His public industry activity includes engagement with airport operators, freight forwarders and logistics stakeholders, with a particular focus on strengthening collaboration across the Indian air-cargo ecosystem.
His work also covers specialized cargo and international supply chains. During his earlier assignment in the Philippines, he discussed Emirates SkyCargo’s efforts to expand cargo services and support exporters requiring temperature-controlled and other specialized transportation solutions, particularly for perishables.
Mr. Alzarooni is also active in India’s air-cargo industry through ACFI. He was appointed to the 2024–2026 ACFI Governing Board as a Board Member, alongside senior executives from Air India, GMR, FedEx, Adani Airports, Skyways and other major logistics organizations.
In 2025, Emirates SkyCargo received the Best International Cargo Airline recognition at the India Cargo Awards. Mr. Alzarooni was among the Emirates SkyCargo representatives who received the award, alongside Avik Kapoor and Sumit Mathur
