Mr. Keku Bomi Gazdar is a seasoned aviation and logistics professional and a prominent voice in India’s air-cargo ecosystem, currently serving as Managing Director and CEO of Aviapro Logistics Services Pvt. Ltd. With extensive experience across airport cargo operations, logistics and air-freight development, he has built a leadership profile around strengthening India’s position as a competitive global cargo and transshipment hub. His professional mission is closely aligned with improving connectivity, operational efficiency, technology adoption and sustainability across the air-cargo value chain, while creating an ecosystem capable of supporting India’s rapidly expanding international trade.
Before moving into his current entrepreneurial leadership role, Mr. Gazdar served as Chief Executive Officer of AAI Cargo Logistics & Allied Services Company Ltd. (AAICLAS), where he was responsible for critical cargo-related functions and stakeholder coordination across airports. His tenure brought him close to the operational realities of India’s air-cargo infrastructure and positioned him as an important industry interlocutor between cargo terminals, airlines, freight forwarders and government agencies. During this period, he was involved in facilitating the growth of international cargo operations, including the launch of DB Schenker’s direct charter connection from Chennai to Munich and Chicago.
At Aviapro, Mr. Gazdar has continued to champion technology-enabled, resilient and sustainable logistics. He has emphasised the need to move beyond conventional airport infrastructure and unlock India’s potential as a transshipment hub by integrating airports, ports, customs, security and surface transportation more effectively. He has argued that India’s ambition of reaching 10 million metric tonnes of air cargo will require capturing international cargo that currently transits over the country, alongside stronger road-air connectivity and multimodal solutions.
Innovation and sustainability are central to his industry advocacy. As Chairman of the Knowledge & Research Task Pillar of the Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI), he helped shape the ACFI Innovation Awards, designed to encourage advances in customer experience, competitiveness, safety, security and sustainability across air cargo. He has also consistently advocated technology as a means of reducing processing time, improving visibility and eliminating inefficiencies, while stressing the importance of decarbonisation and eco-friendly logistics practices.
Mr. Gazdar’s continued participation in FIATA and ACFI forums reflects his broader commitment to industry development, international collaboration and policy dialogue. His career brings together operational expertise, strategic leadership and a strong understanding of the infrastructure and policy levers required to transform India into a more efficient, sustainable and globally integrated air-cargo powerhouse.
