Mr. Ramesh Mamidala is a veteran air-cargo and logistics professional with more than 30 years of experience across logistics, airport cargo operations, infrastructure development, product management, and commercial strategy. He currently serves as Vice President, Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) and is listed by ACFI as Head Cargo – Air India Limited.

Mr. Mamidala is an engineer with a Master’s in Transport Planning and an MBA from Bradford University. His career spans major international and Indian aviation organizations, including Emirates Group, Emirates SkyCargo, Mercator, Qatar Airways Group/Qatar Aviation Services, Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal, Adani Airports Holdings, and Air India.

During his tenure with Emirates SkyCargo, he worked across infrastructure development, global product development and management, and special-products operations at the Dubai hub. He subsequently served as Head of QAS Cargo at Qatar Airways Group, where he was involved in the transition of airport cargo operations to the new Hamad International Airport in 2014.

From 2014 to 2019, Mr. Mamidala served as CEO of Celebi Cargo in Delhi, overseeing the cargo business at IGI Airport during a period when Delhi’s air-cargo volumes crossed one million tonnes annually. He later served as Chief Cargo Officer at Adani Airports Holdings, managing cargo and ground-handling business units.

Within ACFI, he has held several important leadership responsibilities. He has contributed to policy advocacy, process simplification, research and innovation, and industry development. ACFI currently lists him as Vice President for its 2024–2026 Governing Board, while its taskforce structure also identifies him in leadership roles focused on improving air-cargo processes and policy.

Mr. Mamidala has also been an active contributor to discussions on air-cargo infrastructure, digitalization, automation, supply-chain efficiency, customs reforms, artificial intelligence, and India’s potential to become a global air-cargo hub. His industry experience gives him a broad perspective across airlines, cargo terminals, airport operators, technology, and logistics.
