Mr. Satish Lakkaraju is a distinguished logistics and supply-chain leader with more than three decades of experience spanning international freight forwarding, air cargo, pharma logistics, commercial strategy, business development and technology-led transformation. As Chief Executive Officer of Garudavega, the international logistics brand of NexGen Logistics Pvt. Ltd., he is leading the company’s next phase of growth with a strategic focus on technology, service innovation, operational excellence and expanding the organisation’s reach in global markets. Appointed CEO in 2024, he brings to the role a career built across some of the leading names in the logistics industry, including TNT Skypak, AFL, Dachser India, Agility Logistics and Wiz Freight. Prior to joining NexGen, he served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Air Freight & Pharma at Wiz Freight and, before that, spent six years as Chief Commercial Officer at Agility Logistics, where he was closely involved in commercial growth, customer development and strategic market expansion.

A defining aspect of Mr. Lakkaraju’s leadership is his passion for sales, customer engagement and building high-performing teams. He has developed the RACE Ahead sales-training programme to strengthen sales effectiveness and empower the next generation of logistics professionals, reflecting his belief that sustainable business growth is ultimately driven by capable people, strong customer relationships and disciplined execution. His industry vision also extends to specialised supply chains, particularly pharmaceuticals and temperature-sensitive cargo, where his experience has positioned him as an advocate for stronger cold-chain capabilities, process excellence and reliable international logistics solutions. His views on air cargo have highlighted the importance of resilient infrastructure, competitive costs, predictable transit times and technology-enabled operations as India integrates more deeply with global supply chains.

Beyond his corporate mandate, Mr. Lakkaraju is an active contributor to the wider air-cargo ecosystem. He serves on the governing board of the Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) and chairs its Regional Engagement task force, where he contributes to strengthening regional collaboration and industry partnerships. His contribution to logistics leadership has been recognised with the “Transformational Logistics Leader” honour from the Institution of Supply Chain Management for his work in building pharma-logistics capabilities, developing best-in-class processes and contributing to ecosystem development. He is an alumnus of SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
