Mr. Yashpal Sharma is a prominent Indian logistics and air-cargo industry leader serving as the Chairman & Managing Director of Skyways Air Services Ltd. He has been associated with Skyways since 1995 and currently leads the Skyways Group, a logistics and supply-chain organization founded by his father in 1984. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the logistics and freight-forwarding sector.

Mr. Sharma completed his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi in 1995 and later completed an executive program in Strategic IQ from Harvard Business School, Boston, in 2014. His professional journey has focused on expanding Skyways beyond traditional air-freight forwarding into a broader logistics and supply-chain ecosystem.

Under his leadership, Skyways Group has expanded across multiple logistics segments, including air freight, ocean freight, contract logistics, warehousing, express services, road transportation, healthcare logistics, and technology-enabled logistics solutions. The group has developed a significant domestic and international presence, supported by multiple group companies and overseas offices.

Mr. Sharma has also played an active role in industry associations. He served as president of Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) from 2022 to 2024 and has been involved in various industry forums representing India’s air-cargo and logistics sector. His leadership has contributed to discussions around logistics modernization, air-cargo efficiency, digital transformation, and the growth of India’s supply-chain ecosystem.

His contributions to the logistics industry have earned several recognitions, including Logistic Icon of the Decade at the Cargo NXT Recognitions in 2023, Entrepreneur of the Year at the India Cargo Awards 2017, and Face of the Future at the India Cargo Awards 2015. Skyways has also received repeated industry recognition under his leadership.

More recently, Mr. Sharma has been at the forefront of Skyways’ strategic growth and capital-market initiatives. In March 2026, he spoke publicly about Skyways’ exposure to the Middle East crisis and the company’s ability to develop alternative logistics solutions amid global disruptions.
